Humanists of the Shoals is a social group affiliated with the American Humanist Association. Humanism is a progressive philosophy of life that, without theism and other supernatural beliefs, affirms our ability and responsibility to lead ethical lives of personal fulfillment that aspire to the greater good of society.

Among our members are people who consider themselves agnostics, atheists, freethinkers, humanists, nontheists and skeptics. If you are nonreligious in the Shoals area, you are not alone! Formerly known as the Florence United Nontheists, we are indeed a FUN group!

We currently have coffee and bar meetups once a month and other social activities. If your beliefs are along the lines as previously mentioned, we hope to see you soon!
